Dear Sir
As
you may be aware, the Wing Chun Kung fu communities in the United
States and Canada have been holding 'friendship seminars', an event
aimed at achieving unity in our sadly fragmented and often
politically divided style.
Through the Internet based 'Wing
Chun Mailiing List', some of United kingdom & Europe based
practitioners have dicussed the possibility of conducting such a
seminar at some time in the future.
I am therefore writing to
you with this preliminary enquiry as to your views and possible
participation in such an event.
I am sure you will agree that
we have suffered more than our fair share of bad publicity and this
has been to the detriment of the art.
If we can all show that
we can accept each other's lineages, views and differences, we can
do much to bring Wing Chun into the new millenium in a positive
manner.
I must stress that this will be a totally non profit
event, all fees to cover costs only and the event will be non
political in nature and content.
If you have any views or
advice on how the event should be structured, venues, or other
support I would be grateful if you would share these with
me.
