I can't tell you about others in gong
sao matches in the old days in Hong Kong. Those matches I was in has
no rules because I have never be in a pre-arranged fights like the
others did. I have never be taken down to the ground in fights
ever since I was able to apply with Wing Chun techniques but I did
get injured very badly many many times before I able to apply with
techniques during the fights . May be I was lucky then, I have never
met a good ground fighter or grapplers so far. I do believe we don't
stand a chance with the grapplers once we are on the ground because
this is not our game. However, I am confident that we have a much
better chance then they have because I can hurt them when I am
standing up and they can hurt me when I am on the ground, if they
can take me down of course. Who knows, each fight is different.
There are ways to fight a grappler but I don't know how to put
it in writing. I can make a tape for you and let you decide if it
will work for you or not. You should not believe me or anyone
else unless you try it for yourself.
I have no experience
with fighting in tournaments personally but I don't agree if we
don't do good because of the rules as long as we are in equal
ground.
