I am 19 year old from England!!

I am currently learning Kung Fu (Tiger Crane combination). This is proving very good and would love to also learn Wing Chung. There are classes where I live but I feel that I should learn more of Tiger Crane before going on to Wing Chung. Do you think this is wise or would it not be a problem to learn both stlyes??

PS. I have been learning Tiger Crane for 6 weeks. Oh..and your site is great!!

hello-i recently purchased your tapes and enjoy them greatly-ive been studying wing chun for a while and would like to ask regarding the timing technique when used against a boxer.Since i am used to fighting in drills from the neutral stance, when one leg and arm are forward as say in a front stance i find it difficult to tan sao against a very fast and tight lead hook from a boxer-especially in combination-do you have any advice?-also any advice against grapplers trying to take you to the ground would be appreciated. thank you again for your time

I discovered, with much anguish, that you are located in Virgina Beach. I have had an intense interest in studying Wing Chun Kung Fu for many years and missed the opportunity while I lived in
the Tidewater/Hampton Roads area to have the honor to study under you (I spent four years in
Norfolk in the U.S. Navy, and another four years
completing my undergraduate degree in English
at Norfolk State Univeristy, Norfolk). I just moved last year to Michigan to attend graduate school at Michigan State University, and unfortunately, I have found no one thus far that
*specializes* in Wing Chung Kung Fu. I still have an intense desire to become a practitioner of this well-respected art. I realize that you must recieve hundreds of such requests that I am about to put forward to you, but I feel I must ask: Do you recommend anyone in my area (Lansing/East Lansing, MI) to seek instruction from? I have researched other martial arts institutions offering Tae Kwan Do, Hapkido, Aikido, Kick boxing, etc., but, for me personally, I do not think that these honorable forms provides what Wing Chung has to offer. I recently purchased a book called _Wing Chung Kung Fu: Traditional Chinese Kung Fu for Self-Defence and Health, by your SiFu, Grandmaster Ip Chun w/Michael Tse, which has provided a good beginning for me. If you would be so kind, please offer any recommendation you have. Thank you for taking the time read this message and I wish you continued success in all your endevors.

I would like to begin by saying that the tapes you have been kind enough to produce and sell are fantistic and will keep me training for a long time to come, they are more than worth the investment. I was wondering if you would consider producing a tape demonstrating power training exercises. I am not fortunate enough to have someone to train with at this time and unlike Chi Sao the power training is something that could be practiced without a partner.

I was just wondering (as someone did earlier) if training from the tapes would be effective for me. I plan on training hard but I know that without an actual instructor mistakes will be made. I do have a solid martial arts base and I have trained with a Wing Chun instructor for 7 months so I have a basic knowledge of Wing Chun, but I want to learn more. Will the tapes do it or is there an instructor/experienced student in the central Connecticut area.

I am looking for a school in the Chicago area that teaches Shou-lin style of defense. I will be honest, that all I know is that this is a style from China. I really do not know the differences between the different styles of defense. I am inquiring for both my son and myself. My son is 1/2 Chinese and he is interested in Karate. I would like him to learn a style that is from China if possible.

I live in New York City. It's unfortunate that Master Leung does'nt give instruction in the New York area anymore. I was considering purchasing his video tapes. If I train hard can I actually learn the system from these tapes, or should I look for a wing chun school in my area.
